Sněžka, 1594 m altitude, the highest point of Giant Mountains and of the Czech Republic. The funicular leads from the city Pec pod Sněžkou (750m the city altitude, 890m the low station) with exchange station in 1334 m at Růžová hora. The section from Růžová hora to Sněžka is located in the National park Krkonoše protected zone. The funicular started operation in 1949 and was built as licensed product of Swiss company Von Roll. 150000-180000 passengers yearly transported.
